About the Designer

Jennifer Lia has been designing and making her own jewelry since September 2005.  It all started with a curiosity about a "Beading Convention" held at the Holiday Inn in North Haven, Connecticut.  Her co-worker, Paddy Spiegelhalter, had mentioned this gathering of vendors and suggested that Jennifer check it out.  The morning of the show, Jennifer had an appointment to have her windshield replaced.  When she arrived at the auto-body shop, it was discovered that the windshield had not been ordered on time, and would not be available until two days later.  It just so happened, that this auto-body shop was down the street from the Holiday Inn.  Driving by, on her way to the appointment, Jennifer noticed long lines outside the hotel and her curiosity was piqued.  Not knowing what went on at a beading convention, and now having the morning free, Jennifer stopped to take a look.  And the rest is history...
